从《呼兰河传》中英译本中的文化词汇看中英语言的差异——以小说中的三条街为例

摘　　要：《呼兰河传》是中国现代作家萧红女士一部非常著名的作品,小说中展现了中国旧社会北方的市井生活,深刻地揭示了中华民族的“劣根性”。这本小说至今为止最为著名的英文译本出自美国汉学家葛浩文(Howard Goldblatt)之手。小说中存在着许多颇具中国文化特色的词汇与描写,该文旨在通过对这些文化词汇和文化描绘的中英文语言进行对比分析,总结出中文与英文语言上的差异。Tales of Hulan River is a very famous work of modern Chinese writer Xiao Hong.The novel shows the market life of the old society in northern China and deeply reveals the "root of inferiority" of the Chinese nation.The most famous English translation of this novel so far came from the American Sinologist Howard Goldblatt.There are many words and descriptions with Chinese cultural characteristics in the novel.This paper aims to summarize the differences between Chinese and English by comparing and analyzing these cultural words and descriptions in Chinese and English.
