翻译协调论在中医文本英译中的应用探析

摘　　要：本文以我国翻译家高健的翻译协调论为指导思想,结合中医哲学“天人合一”的核心理念,从“协调”的角度对中医文本英译的策略进行剖析,阐释翻译协调论的基本概念及其应用于中医文本英译的必要性,论证“协调”是平衡译者与作者、作者与读者、译者与读者双方都能接受的有效途径。通过对所列举中医典籍中的源语及其译文进行比较分析,阐述了形合与意合、归化与异化作为翻译协调论的主要手段在中医文本英译中的作用,结合汉英语言文化差异,论证了在中医文本的英译过程中,合理协调形合与意合、归化与异化、译者主客观性、译文形式与内容等关系,并根据实际需要动态地重构原文信息,对于有效提高译文的质量和可读性,促进中医药文化的对外交流与传播具有重要的意义。Based on the theory of coordinated translation put forward by GAO Jian,and the core idea of Unity of Man and Nature in Chinese philosophy,this study focuses on the translation strategies of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)from the perspective of coordination,and explains the basic concepts of coordinated translation and the necessity of its application to the translation of TCM,thus illustrating the point that coordination is an effective way to balance the acceptability of translators and authors,authors and readers,translators and readers.In the light of the comparative analysis of some selected original texts of TCM and their translated versions,the role of hypotaxis and parataxis,domestication and foreignization,as the main means of coordinated translation theory in the translation of TCM,are expounded.Combing with the differences between Chinese and English languages and cultures,this paper presents the conclusion that reasonably coordinating hypotaxis and parataxis,domestication and foreignization,subjectivity and objectivity of the translator,form and content in the process of translating original texts of TCM,and dynamically reconstructing the original information according to the actual needs,is of great significance to effectively improving the quality and readability of TCM translation and promoting the overseas exchange and communication of TCM culture.
