摘　　要：《解剖课——评马修·巴尼〈悬丝〉系列》(The Anatomy Lesson——Matthew Barney’s Cremaster Cycle)是美国哲学家阿瑟·丹托(Arthur Danto)的一篇评论文章,在2003年5月5日发表于美国《国家》(The Nation)杂志。2003年2月21日至6月11日,纽约古根海姆博物馆(The Guggenheim Museum)推出了马修·巴尼《悬丝》系列的项目展,除放映此系列的五部影片外,还展出了他为该系列创作的摄影、绘画、雕塑和装置作品。阿瑟·丹托于2003年4月观看该展览并撰写此文,他从“悬丝”一词的生理解剖学意涵入手,对马修·巴尼的《悬丝》系列进行分析,重点探讨了影片中的空间、影像符号与人类生理间的联系,以及影像文本背后的文化内核。“The Anatomy Lesson——Matthew Barney’s Cremaster Cycle”is a review essay written by Arthur Danto,an American philosopher,in The Nation on May 5,2003.From February 21 to June 11,2003,the Guggenheim Museum held a project exhibition of Matthew Barney’s Cremaster series.In addition to showing five films of this series,he also exhibited his photography,painting,sculpture and installation works for this series.Arthur Danto watched the exhibition and wrote this essay in April 2003.In this paper,he started from the physiological and anatomical meaning of“cremaster”,based on which he analyzed Matthew Barney’s Cremaster series,focusing on the relationship between space,symbol,human physiology,as well as the cultural meaning behind the image.
