方东美人性分析的方法论反思

摘　　要：为便于人性分析的开展,方东美设定纵贯法以阐明性善的观点。纵贯法的效用在于,它勘破了由平列法分析人性招致的概念混淆问题,还原了人性的丰富性和复杂性,一定意义上达到了为抗战时期全国青年解除科学主义思潮之弊的意图。然而,纵贯法只是文中便于分析的一个逻辑环节,始终未曾在文本中真正离场。方东美意图避免在文本中制造凿空捣虚的名言系统,而纵贯法不能离场的阻滞却导致实际效果与其意图相悖。因此,纵贯法一方面无法为“性善”的综合判断提供真正有效的论证支撑,使得《人性的分析》难以介入中西科学主义批判和人性论的学术对话,一方面遮掩了方东美的思想深度,这是当前方东美思想研究的困境所在。In order to facilitate the development of human nature analysis,ThoméH.Fang set up a longitudinal method to clarify the view of human nature.The utility of the longitudinal method lies in that it breaks through the conceptual confusion caused by analyzing human nature by the parallel method,restores the richness and complexity of human nature,and relieves the disadvantages of scientism for the youth of the whole country during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.However,the longitudinal method is only a logical link in the text that is convenient for analysis,and has never really left the field in the text.ThoméH.Fang’s intention is to avoid creating a system of famous sayings in the text,but the block that the longitudinal method cannot leave the field causes the actual effect to be contrary to its intention.Therefore,on the one hand,the vertical method cannot provide effective argument support for the comprehensive judgment of“sexual goodness”,making it difficult for“The Analysis of Human Nature”to intervene in the academic dialogue between Chinese and Western scientism criticism and human nature theory,on the other hand,it hides the depth of ThoméH.Fang’s thought,which is the dilemma of the current research of his thought.
