功夫片中文化意象的翻译策略探析——以《一代宗师》为例

摘　　要：近年华语功夫电影越来越受到海外观众的喜爱,电影字幕蕴含了中华民族的文化意象,如何在电影英文字幕中准确传递中华文化意象,成为翻译工作者面临的难题。有鉴于此,拟通过对国产功夫电影《一代宗师》字幕英译研究,发现功夫电影字幕英译时,应遵循“言简意明”的原则,基于不同的文化意象类型,灵活采用异化法、浓缩法、归化法等不同的翻译策略,尽可能保留影视作品中的文化意象,凸显中国文化的特质,同时又让影片获得国外观众理解与接受。In recent years,Chinese Kungfu films have become more and more popular with overseas audiences.Film subtitles contain the cultural image of the Chinese nation.How to accurately convey the Chinese cultural image in film English subtitles has become a difficult problem for translators.In view of this,this paper intends to study the subtitle English translation of the domestic kungfu film The Grandmasters.It has been found that the subtitle English translation of kungfu films should follow the principle of“simplicity and clarity”and flexibly adopt different translation strategies such as foreignizing,concentration and domestication based on different types of cultural images,so as to retain the cultural images in the film and television works as much as possible.Meanwhile,it highlights the characteristics of Chinese culture and makes the film understood and accepted by foreign audiences.
