元功能理论在石油化工英语翻译实践中的应用

摘　　要：从功能角度出发,石油化工英语翻译除了准确性之外还需要考虑文本的交际性和完整性,以达到功能上等效和完整。基于系统功能语言学元功能理论,结合具体案例,分析了石油化工英语的语言特点和翻译难点,探索了元功能理论在石油化工英语翻译实践中的应用价值,对该专业英语的理解和翻译具有一定的理论和现实意义。From the perspective of functional grammar,petrochemical English translation needs to be accurate,communicative and integral of the text in order to achieve equivalence and integrity.Based on the metafunction theory and cases analysis,this paper analyzes the language characteristics and translation difficulties of petrochemical English,and explores the application value of metafunction theory in petrochemical English translation practice,which has a profound impact on petrochemical English translation study.
