摘 要:教育强国是中国近现代高等教育发展的时代主题。陈时作为我国近代第一所私立大学——中华大学的创办者,秉持“振兴中华”的办学旨归,在中华大学四十年办学实践中形成了丰富而独特的大学教育思想。主要包括服务社会、综合一流的办学定位,成德达材、陶冶国民的办学目的,精编节用、精诚团结的大学管理,兼容并包、允贵争鸣的大学教学,洞辟门户、立德树人的教师素养。探寻陈时大学教育思想可以为新时代大学建设提供镜鉴。建设“双一流”大学应以立德树人为出发点,着力完善内部治理体系,以教学质量为中心,以一流师资为支撑,充分发挥服务社会主义现代化建设的功能。Strengthening education is the theme of the development of modern higher education in China.Chen Shi is the founder of the first private university in modern China,Central China University,and has formed abundant and unique university educational ideas in his 40 years of work with the aim to reinvigorate the nation.His ideas include the positioning of constructing a world-level university that serves the society,the aspiration to cultivate talents and enlighten the people,the management that focuses on frugality and cooperation,the teaching that is inclusive and encouraging,and teachers that are academically independent and foster virtue through education.Exploring Chen’s ideas is enlightening for the construction of contemporary universities.To construct double-class universities should go from fostering virtue through education,try to improve internal governance institution,focus on teaching quality and great faculty,and fully play the role of serving socialist modernization.
