摘　　要：儒学能否与现代权利观念相容是儒学现代化过程中面临的一个重要问题。一种反对儒学与现代权利观念可相容的观点认为,儒学中的个体(自我)缺乏自主、平等以及由此二者而生的主张等意蕴,但这些理由并不能完整体现所有儒家先哲的思想。就先秦儒家而言,荀子曾言“欲不可去”,这使得荀子对“欲”认识不同于同时期的其他学者。依此,荀子所言之个体也表现出不同的特点,这些特点可使荀子思想从理论上对儒学能否与权利观念相容作出积极的回答,同时又能保持儒学之基本特色。In the process of the modernization of Confucianism,a key problem that Confucianists must face is the compatibility between Confucianism and Rights.Incompatibilists insist that the Self in Confucianism has no idea of Autonomy,equality and claiming,so Confucianism will never be compatible with Rights.But this theory is not suitable for all Confucianists.For example,a kind of Self which is based on Xunzi’s opinion of Desire has these three characters.So,Xunzi’s theory can give a positive answer to whether Confucianism is compatible with Rights.
