摘　　要：蕾切尔·卡森的《寂静的春天》一书产生的影响及带来的深刻变化,早已超越了该书直接揭露的化学杀虫剂造成的环境危害这一问题本身,由其引发的现代环境运动正在日益显露出多重意义。从环境运动本身的发展看,现代环境运动实质上是一种科学的环境运动,由此确立了现代环境运动的基本性质及环境保护的发展方向;从科学与社会的关系看,现代环境运动是科学强力介入和引导社会发展的又一种新的表现形式,这有助于生态学成为组织和建构社会生活和社会行动的一种基础性的思想范式;从人与自然的关系看,现代环境运动正在成为人类文明发展进程中的一个重要的历史转折点,它将在人作为一个道德物种的自我意识方面产生助推作用。从整体上看,这三个不同的变化之间存在着内在的一致性,这种一致性表现为由科学认知的进步对社会持续产生结构性影响的一种演进趋势,以及一种对人的发展的全面和系统的引导和建构的力量。The influence and profound change raised by Rachel Carson’s Silence Spring has far already transcended the environmental damage caused by chemical pesticides that the book directly exposes, and the modern environmental movement caused by it is increasingly showing multiple meanings. Its main significance includes: the modern environmental movement is essentially a scientific environmental movement from the view of development of environmental movement itself, which establishes the nature of the modern environmental movement and the development direction of environmental protection;the modern environmental movement is another new form of manifestation to strong intervene and guide societal development from the perspective of the relation between science and society, which will contribute ecology to become a fundamental thought paradigm for organizing and constructing our social life and social action;the modern environmental movement is becoming a historic turning point in the development course of human civilization in terms of the relation of human to nature, and it will play a boosting role in the development aspect of human’s self-consciousness as a moral species. Taken as a whole, there is an inherent consistency among these three different changes, which is manifested as an evolutionary trend that continues to have a structural impact on society through advances in scientific cognition, as well as a comprehensive and systematic guiding and constructing power to human development.
