新文化运动中科学的界说和范畴——以《新青年》为中心

摘　　要：《新青年》杂志是新文化运动中传播科学的中坚力量。在传播过程中,《新青年》多位作者对科学概念进行了不同的界说,他们将科学分为了广狭二义,这体现了他们对科学范围应包括自然科学和社会科学的认识。人文学科的学者倾向于通过对科学的性质进行侧写来定义,而自然科学的学者在定义中兼顾了科学的研究对象、方法、成果等元素,显得更加严谨。《新青年》杂志对科学的提倡,既反映了他们对时代需要的认知,也对科学思想在中国的传播作出了巨大贡献。La Jeunesse magazine is the backbone of science dissemination in the New Culture Movement. In the process of dissemination, many authors of La Jeunesse have made different definitions of science and divided science into broad and narrow categories, which reflects their understanding that the scope of science should include both natural and social sciences. Scholars in the humanities tend to define science by profiling its nature, while those in the natural sciences are more rigorous in their definition by taking into account the research objects, methods and results of science. The promotion of science by La Jeunesse magazine not only reflects their cognition of the needs of the times, but also makes a great contribution to the spread of scientific ideas in China.
