摘　　要：西部民族是中国现当代艺术叙事中的重要母题。它不仅构成了国人对中华民族认同的向心力和凝聚力,更向外界展示出鲜明的国家形象和精神内涵,对铸牢中华民族共同体意识、塑造“大国风范”具有重大意义。考察20世纪西部民族形象于中国艺术史中的生成背景及形塑路径,有助于体认不同社会文化语境下的现实需求与审美趣味、艺术家于特定时期的视野转换与艺术重构,以及西部民族艺术形象与中华民族文化理想的互铸共生关系。Ethnic groups in western China are an important theme of modern and contemporary art in China. It not only helps strengthen national identity among Chinese people, but shows a distinctive image of China to the outside world;therefore, it is of great significance for strengthening the awareness of the Chinese nation as a community and establishing “the model of a major country”. Examining how the image of these ethnic groups emerged and developed in China’s art history in the 20th century helps understand realistic needs and aesthetic tastes in different social and cultural contexts, artists’ change of vision and reconstruction in a specific period, and the symbiosis relationship between the image of ethnic groups in western China and the cultural ideal of the Chinese nation.
