论茅盾短篇小说之英文翻译史若干问题

摘　　要：到目前为止,关于茅盾文学作品外译研究的文章还不多,关于短篇小说外译研究的尤其少。有的文章涉及茅盾短篇小说被翻译成多国文字的情况,没有聚焦于短篇小说被翻译成英文;有的是关于茅盾各种体裁文学作品之英译及其研究情况,没有专论短篇小说被翻译成英文;还有的是关于茅盾某一个短篇小说之英译的研究。文章考论并补正了茅盾短篇小说英译史及有关论述中存在的诸多问题,是关于茅盾短篇小说总体被翻译成英文历史状况的专论。So far,there are few articles on the study of Mao Dun's translation of literary works,especially on short stories.Some articles involve the translation of Mao Dun's short stories into foreign languages,without focusing on the translation of short stories into English.Some are about the English translation of Mao Duns literary works of various genres and their researches,and no monographs on short stories have been translated into English.There is also a study on the English translation of one of Mao Duns short stories.This paper is a monograph on the historical situation of Mao Duns short stories translated into English as a whole.This study examines and corrects the history of Mao Dun's short stories'English translation and the problems existing in the relevantexpositions.
