摘　　要：The authors of“Diagnosis,Evaluation,and Management of Ascites,Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis and Hepatorenal Syndrome:2021 Practice Guidance by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases”are to be congratulated on their exhaustive assessment of the data published on patients with cirrhosis and ascites and their guidelines represent a pragmatic,evidence-based,common-sense approach(1).
