摘　　要：《中国丛报》是清代来华西方人创办的英文期刊,其中刊载了86篇涉及汉语学习的文章,内容包括语言学习政策、语体和语用、语言要素学习、教学模式与学习方法、汉语学习用书、中文教育机构与汉语教师、汉语学习人物等诸多方面,是研究晚清来华西方人汉语学习的重要历史文献。为此,笔者尝试对《中国丛报》中的汉语学习文章及其撰稿人进行梳理,以期全面考察《中国丛报》汉语学习文章的基本特点,正确认识他们的历史贡献。The Chinese Repository was an English-language periodical founded by Westerners who came to China in the late Qing Dynasty.It published 86 articles concerning Chinese language learning,covering language learning policies,language style and pragmatics,language elements in learning,teaching mode and learning method,books on Chinese learning,institutions of Chinese education,teachers and learners of Chinese and so on.These articles are important historical texts for the study of the history of Chinese language learning by Westerners who came to China in the late Qing Dynasty.In this paper,we deal with the articles on Chinese language learning and their authors in order to probe into the basic contents of these articles and provide a better understanding of their historical contribution.
