摘　　要：中国小说中的人物姓名蕴含着丰富的文化内涵,本文以2000-2019年国外出版社出版的148部中国长篇小说英文译作为研究对象,系统地考察小说中的人名翻译策略及其影响因素。研究结果表明,以汉语拼音为主的多样化音译策略是主流,其次是音译和意译并存、意译和归化为英语人名的策略。影响中国小说人名英译的因素主要有社会历史因素、英语读者对于异域文化色彩的需求、译者的文化立场这三方面的原因。The character names in Chinese fiction are imbued with rich cultural connotations.Based on the English-translated Chinese novels published by foreign presses between 2000 and 2019,the paper takes a systematic research on the translation strategies of the fictional character names and the constraining factors.It’s concluded that the diversified transliteration strategies dominated by Chinese pinyin are the mainstream and others are transliteration plus semantic translation,semantic translation and domestication.The constraining factors include the social and historical factor,English readers’preference for exotic culture and translators’cultural standpoint.
