基于图里翻译规范理论的《史记》中外译本比较——以杨宪益、戴乃迭和华兹生的英译本为例

摘　　要：运用图里的翻译规范理论,笔者对杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇和华兹生的《史记》英译本进行了描述性比较研究。分析身处不同社会背景的两组译者在预备规范、初始规范和操作规范的影响下,在文本选择、翻译倾向以及翻译策略等方面的差异,并探讨了这些差异的成因。研究结果表明,翻译规范对两组译者的翻译行为产生了显著影响,进而导致了两个译本的文本差异;本研究为理解翻译规范对翻译过程和翻译结果的影响提供了有益的启示。As a classic literary masterpiece,Records of the Grand Historian has exerted a profound influence on the later generations.Based on Toury's translational norms theory,this paper makes a descriptive comparative study of the two selected versions of the Records of the Grand Historian by Yang Xianyi,Dai Naidie and Burton Watson respectively.This paper analyzes the differences and similarities between the two groups of translators in the selection of the target text under the restriction of the preliminary norm,the different translation tendencies of the target text under the influence of the initial norm,and the different translation strategies used in the translation process under the impact of the operational norm.The results show that the translational norms have obvious influence on the two groups of translators,resulting in the differences of the two versions.This research can shed some light on understanding the influence of translational norms on the process and result of translation.
