摘 要:在晚清民国间的西学东渐大潮中,意大利文豪但丁的相关知识被译介进入中国。就传播方式和时代关怀来看,学人引述、教材条目和报刊新闻等,所言但丁知识的内容有所区别。围绕《新民丛报》,部分渴望新民建国的学人,肯定但丁提倡使用民族语言从而促进现代意大利国家出现的功绩,希望通过介绍其事迹来启迪国人关注本民族文化的保存。这实为一种民族主义和国粹主义的眼光,而仅有部分学人重视但丁的文艺贡献。辛亥革命以后,人们重视学术文化的建设,逐步转向关注但丁作品的文艺价值,惊叹《神曲》等作品呈现出的丰富想象力,展现出文学经典传播过程与时代接收语境之间的互动影响。值得注意的是,辛亥前后但丁知识来源途径有别,最初学人多由日本接收而来,用作论著的引证,后来随着欧美留学生回国,相关知识多直接取自西语著作。In the first two decades of the twentieth century when some elites in China searched ways to make the nation powerful by learning foreign knowledge,knowledge related to the Italian literary giant Dante was introduced into China.From the perspective of dissemination methods and care of the times,there are differences in the content of knowledge on Dante in academic citations,textbook entries,and newspaper news.Centered around Xin Min Cong Bao,scholars who aspired to establish a new nation affirmed Dante’s achievements in advocating the use of national language to promote the emergence of a modern Italy,hoping to inspire Chinese people to focus on the preservation of our own national culture by introducing his deeds.This was actually a racialist and nationalist perspective from which only part of the scholars valued Dante’s literary and artistic contributions.After the Xinhai Revolution,scholars attached great importance to the construction of academic culture and gradually shifted their attention to the literary and artistic value of Dante’s works.They marveled at the rich imagination presented by his works such as The Divine Comedy,demonstrating the interactive influence between the dissemination process of literary classics and the reception context of the era.It is worth noting that there were different sources of knowledge on Dante before and after the Xinhai Revolution.Initially,most of the knowledge was received from the learners from Japan and used as citations in their works.Later,as students returned from European and American countries to China,most of the relevant knowledge was directly obtained from Spanish works.
