基于翻译模因论的不同主题中医药术语英译策略研究

摘　　要：近年来学界对于中医药术语英译策略的研究多重“异”轻“同”,且多为定性研究。本文以切斯特曼翻译模因论中提出的翻译策略体系为基础,以两部权威中医药术语国际标准中的7725条词条为研究对象,总结了两部标准中分属17个主题且翻译相同的944条词条所采取的翻译策略,并结合术语汉语内涵分析其原因,以及语义/语法策略、语义策略和语用策略在使用时的相互影响。如在取得翻译共识的术语词条中,基础理论、气血津液精和脏腑相关的术语常使用直译和文化过滤的策略,病名、形体官窍、诊断、推拿、针法、灸法和拔罐部分多采用直译、借用或仿造等。研究结果为今后国际标准中的中医药术语翻译提供参考。Recent researches about the translation strategy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)terms is more about the“difference”and less about“similarities”,and most of them are quantitative research.This paper is based on the translation strategy system proposed in Chesterman's translation memetics,and takes 7725 entries in the two authoritative international standards of TCM terminology as the research object.Translation strategies of 944 entries with identical translation from 17 different classifications of the two standards have been summarized and analyzed,the reason why they are adopted are explained,and the mutual effect among syntactic,semantic and pragmatic strategies have been analyzed.For example,in the terms whose translation have been made consensus on,terms about TCM basic theory,Qi,blood,body fluid,essence and viscera are mostly translated with literal translation and cultural filtering;terms about names of diseases,body parts and orifices,diagnosis,tuina,acupuncture,moxibustion and cupping are mostly translated with literal translation,loan and claque.The research result provides references for future translation of TCM terms,especially the translation of the terms in TCM international standards.
