摘　　要：身体是威廉·福克纳(William Faulkner,1897-1962)的首部长篇小说《士兵的报酬》中文本叙事的关键符号,福克纳通过对主人公身体境遇的书写,赋予其丰富而多元的隐喻。基于身体叙事学视角,通过分析主人公唐纳德在经历战争创伤后的身体表征,揭示福克纳以身体之名控诉战争对人类身心的双重戕害,指涉人类作为客体被规训为战争工具的事实,以及战争背景下“英雄”所遭遇的身份认同危机,体现了作者对人性与战争的深度透视。研究表明,身体不仅是客观意义上的肉体呈现,更是一种能指符号,福克纳将身体寓于叙事中,通过身体构成了故事的叙事主线,成为书写战后“迷惘一代”的媒介及隐喻表征。The body is an important constituent of storytelling in William Faulkner’s(1897-1962)first novel Soldier’s Pay.He has endowed the protagonist’s body with rich and diversified metaphors through the depiction of his body.Based on the perspective of body narrative,by analyzing the physical representation of the hero Donald after the war,this paper reveals Faulkner’s indictment of the dual de⁃struction of human body and mind by the war in the name of the body,exposing the fact that human be⁃ings as objects are trained as tools in the war,and the identity crisis encountered by“heroes”under the background of war which reflects the author’s deep thinking on human nature and war.The research shows that the body is not only a physical representation in the objective sense,but also a signifier sym⁃bol.Faulkner put the body in the narrative and formed the narrative thread of the story through the body,which became the medium and metaphorical representation of the“lost generation”after the war.
