摘　　要：[目的/意义]旨在探究陶行知对中国现代图书馆事业早期发展的贡献,激励当代图书馆事业砥砺前行。[研究设计/方法]采用文献研究法和历史研究法,阐述陶行知对中国现代图书馆事业的独到见解,回顾陶行知主持筹建中华教育改进社教育图书馆,参与领导创设中华图书馆协会,创办图书馆学短期培训班;建立面向平民教育和辅助学校教育的图书馆,丰富图书馆发展模式和普及教育实践路径的历史。[结论/发现]充分肯定陶行知对中国现代图书馆事业的发展作出了开拓性贡献。从其推动图书馆事业发展的经验来看,应坚持人民立场,办好人民群众满意的图书馆;注重民族特色,办好弘扬优秀传统文化的图书馆;强调文教结合,办好馆校协同育人的图书馆;服务乡村建设,办好助力乡村振兴的图书馆。[创新/价值]挖掘陶行知对中国现代图书馆事业所作贡献的史料,以史为鉴,为推动当代图书馆事业发展提供镜鉴。[Purpose/Significance]This paper aims to explore Tao Xingzhi's contribution to the early development of China's modern library cause,and to encourage contemporary library cause to forge ahead.[Design/Methodology]Using the method of literature research and historical research,this paper expounds Tao Xingzhi's unique views on China's modern library cause,reviews Tao Xingzhi's hosting of the preparation of the education library of the China Education Improvement Society,his participation in the establishment of the China Library Association by leaders,and the establishment of short-term training courses for library science,further more we recalls the history that Tao Xingzhi established a library that catered to civilian education and assisted school education,and he enriched the history of library development models and practical paths for popularizing education.[Findings/Conclusion]In this study,Tao Xingzhi's pioneering contribution to the development of China's modern library cause is fully affirmed.His experience in promoting the development of the library cause enlightens us that we should adhere to the people's position and run a library that satisfies the people;pay attention to ethnic characteristics and operate a library that promotes excellent traditional culture;emphasize the integration of culture and education,and run a library that promotes collaborative education between libraries and schools;serve rural construction and run libraries that contribute to rural revitalization.[Originality/Value]This study excavates the historical data of Tao Xingzhi's contribution to China's modern library cause,and takes history as a mirror to promote the development of contemporary library cause.
