摘　　要：英语动词名物化是一种普遍存在、及其复杂的语言现象。以《现代大学英语精读》12个单元的79条语料研究英语动词名物化理解与翻译。理解可以从名物化结构中的名词、修饰名词的形容词、乏词义动词现象、逻辑主语等方面入手,将该结构还原为句法和语义统一的一致式,使理解畅通。翻译以《大学教材全解.现代大学英语精读》中的79条译例为语料,发现了对该语言现象汉译值得推崇的翻译策略以及存在的翻译问题。The nominalization of English verbs is a common and complex language phenomenon.Studying the understanding and translating of English verb nominalization is based on the corpus from 12 units of the textbooks“Intensive Reading of Modern College English”.The understanding is focused,by adjusting the structure to the congruence of syntax and semantic unity,on the following aspects including the nouns of the nominalization structure,the adjectives that modify the nouns,the delexical verb phenomenon and the logical subject.The translating is focused on the corpus of the 79 translation versions,which has found the admirable translation strategies and the existing translation problems of this linguistic phenomenon.
