摘 要:《易经》和《诗经》作为“五经”中的两部典籍,分别代表中国传统哲学元典和诗歌元典。《易经》“观物取象”与“立象尽意”的思维模式及表意特征与《诗经》“六义”中的“兴”有相通之处,即《易经》中的“易象”与《诗经》中的“兴象”在意义与作用上有所关联。理雅各对《易经》和《诗经》中重合意象的翻译处理不具有一致性,在阐释过程中更注重意象独特的语境意义。The I Ching and The She King,the two most renowned texts among the Five Classics,represent the traditional Chinese philosophical and poetic canon respectively.The mode of thinking and ideational characteristics of"observing objects and taking images"and"creating images to express the meaning completely"in The I Ching are similar to the"xing"of"the six principles"in The She King.In other words,the"yi images"in The I Ching are related to the"xing images"in The She King in terms of meanings and functions.James Legge is one of the few outstanding sinologists who have translated both The I Ching and The She King.However,his translation of the overlapping images in the two classics is not consistent,and his interpretation put more focus on the unique contextual meaning of the images.
