摘　　要：分子对称性是化学专业本科生《结构化学》课程中的重点,判断分子点群更是该章节中的核心内容。分子对称性的学习要求学生具有较好的空间想象力,而使用一些简单的球棍模型教具很难体现出完整的对称元素。因此,本文中提出将采用Gaussian 09软件应用到分子对称性的教学中,借助GaussView 5.0软件的视频功能以及Multiwfn软件的文件类型转换功能,最后通过VMD软件将分子对称元素展现出来,可以对分子点群有较为清晰的认识。Molecular symmetry is the focus of Structural Chemistry for undergraduates majoring in Chemistry,and the molecular point groups is the main content of this chapter.Because the learning of molecular symmetry requires students to have good spatial imagination,there are limitations in the way of teaching students to understand by using ball-and-stick physical model.Therefore,Gaussian 09 software,one of the most popular quantum chemistry calculation software in the world,was applied to the teaching of molecular symmetry.Finally,VMD software was used to display molecular symmetric elements,so that we could have a clearer understanding of molecular point groups.
