“摇晃的方法论”——比较文学美国学派方法论问题与系统论关系初探

摘  要:比较文学美国学派的崛起及其对法国学派的批判在一定程度上得益于20世纪西方思想学术主导性思维范式从实证主义向系统论转变的整体趋势。美国学派真正的方法论特色并非是缺乏建构性内涵的平行研究,而是体现了系统思维特征的整体性研究以及与之密切相关的中心化原则等。然而由于特定历史背景等因素影响,美国学派未能明确自身的方法论优势,反而对方法论问题持较为轻视的态度,导致学科在理论化浪潮冲击下陷入自我认知的危机之中。The rise of the American School of Comparative Literature in the 1950s and 1960s and its triumph over the French School own largely to the shift of the then dominating methodology from positivism to the systematic theory.The primary methodological principle of the American School is not the parallel study that lacks constructive connotation,but the study dubbed as"integration study"reflecting the characteristics of systematic thinking and the principle of centralization closely related to it.Nevertheless,the American School has failed to clarify its own methodological advantages by taking a relatively contemptuous attitude towards methodological issues,and,as a result,this soon led to the crisis of self-identification in the sweeping trend of theorization in literary study.
