科技翻译中的信息素养——以《图灵的大教堂》汉译本为例

摘　　要：随着信息化时代的发展,全球许多组织机构都设定了信息素养标准。近年来,国内外研究者也越来越重视信息素养在翻译中的作用。科技翻译文本题材各异,包罗万象,这就要求译者发挥信息素养的作用,进行信息修正和补足。本文结合《图灵的大教堂》汉译本实例,对科技翻译译者的信息素养进行剖析,提出译者应明确“为何查”,知道“查什么”和“如何查”。In the current information age,the significance of information literacy is increasingly recognized,leading to the establishment of information literacy standards by organizations and institutions worldwide.Moreover,researchers have demonstrated a growing interest in understanding the vital role of information literacy in translation,especially in scientific translation,which encompasses texts from a diverse range of subjects.Translators in this field must possess a strong level of information literacy to effectively bridge or supplement any information gaps in the texts they work on.Using examples from the Chinese versions of Turing's Cathedral,this paper highlights the importance of information literacy for translators in scientific translation.It argues that translators should not only understand"why to search"but also be proficient in determining"what to search"and"how to search"during the translation process.
