摘 要:我国不同时期的大学英语教学大纲及教材均反映相应的价值取向。本文依据价值观内容的相关指标,以我国五套较有影响的大学英语教材为分析对象,客观地呈现大学英语教材选文背后的价值取向及其演进特点。大学英语教材价值观从语言工具的价值观发展成为工具性与人文性相结合的价值观。随着教材建设国家事权政策的落实,大学英语教材价值取向又呈现出多元价值并存中选择主流核心价值观的特点。对大学英语教材价值取向的比较分析,为进一步编写和修订我国大学英语教材提供了宝贵的经验。我国大学英语教材的重新编写势在必行。The value orientations reflected in College English syllabuses and textbooks in different stages in China are differential.Based on the variations in Value Orientations of Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck,this paper selected five sets of influential College English textbooks in China as the research object and objectively demonstrates the value orientations and developmental features behind the selection of College English textbooks.The paper found that the value orientations behind College English textbooks choice have evolved from English only being a linguistic tool to the unity of instrumentalism and humanism in College English.With the implementation of the policy that teaching materials are the embodiment of national will,the values embedded in College English textbooks are also characterized by the prevailing of mainstream core values from the coexistence of multiple values.The comparative analysis of the value orientations behind College English textbooks provides valuable experience to further compile and revise College English textbooks in China which is imperative.
