系统论视域下的商务语篇翻译研究——以公司简介英译为例

摘　　要：系统论认为,任何事物都可视为一个系统,每个系统由多个子系统构成。翻译系统由源语文本子系统和目标语文本子系统构成,系统内各要素之间相互联系、相互影响。当前,系统论视域下的翻译研究主要集中在文学语篇,其在商务语篇中的应用较为少见。为考察系统论对商务语篇翻译的解释力,提出了一个由初步数据、语篇和语境三个层面构成的模型,结合一种较为常见的商务语篇——公司简介的汉译英案例,对翻译过程进行了全面考察。初步数据考察源语文本、译者、目标语文本情况以及三者之间的关系,特别是译者对源语文本的再加工情况;语篇层面主要考察小句成分之间、小句之间、句子之间的关系,分析译者如何解读语篇所表达的各种意义以及这些意义在目标语中的再现情况;语境层面考察语篇与语境的关系,分析译者是否以读者为导向,译文是否顺应目标语语言文化习惯。结果表明,系统论对公司简介的翻译研究具有很好的适应性。According to systems theory,any object can be regarded as a system.Each system consists of many subsystems.A translation system is made up of a source text subsystem and a target text subsystem.The elements in the system are interrelated and exert influence on each other.At present,systems-theoretic translation studies focus mostly on literary texts,while business discourses are seldom explored.In order to examine the explanatory power of the systems theory in the translation of business discourses,a three-level model composed of the preliminary data level,the discourse level,and the contextual level was proposed to investigate the translation process,citing examples of the translation from Chinese into English of company profiles,a common business discourse.Preliminary data examines the source text,translator and the target text and the relationships among them,focusing on the reprocessing of the source text.The discourse level examines the relationships among the elements of clauses,between clauses and sentences,and analyzes the interpretation of the meanings expressed in the source text and their reconstruction in the target text.The contextual level investigates the relationship between the discourse and the context,analyzes whether the translator takes a reader-oriented perspective and whether the translated text adapts itself to the linguistic and cultural norms of the target language.The results show that systems theory is applicable to the research of translation of company profiles.
