摘　　要：多民族国家中,族群与族群之间不乏“边界”符号。学界对中华民族共同体概念的内涵和外延展开了广泛的研究,但目前较少从族群边界理论的视角来探究中华民族共同体的理论构建。通过引入族群边界的多级过程理论,分析中华民族共同体的边界,强调族群间不存在永恒的边界,正视族群边界将更利于中华民族共同体的建设。将中华民族共同体边界划分为“外边界与内边界”,稳定中华民族共同体的外边界需要合理运用“制度环境、权力分配和政治网络”等因素,以期维护中华民族共同体外边界“制度、组织、文化和历史”的四重在场;中华民族共同体的内边界需要维持其“政治显著性、社会开放性、文化多元性和历史稳定性”,各民族采取多样的互动策略可加速实现中华民族共同体内边界的相对流动。厘清中华民族共同体内外边界的特征及互动策略,形成构建中华民族共同体的稳定机制,从而实现铸牢中华民族共同体意识的主要目标。The crossing and mobility of ethnic boundaries is the main path to correctly dealing with commonalities and differences between ethnic groups,and the crossing of ethnic boundaries and promoting ethnic integnation has consolidated the construction of a community for the Chinese nation.This paper intends the following:1)Introduce the multilevel process theory of community boundaries and 2)—through adapting and localizing this theory—propose a theoretical framework for the boundaries of a community for the Chinese nation,and dividing these boundaries of the community for the Chinese nation into the“external boundaries and inner boundaries”.The“external boundaries”refer to the“boundaries”between China and other countries and other nationalities,i.e.the identification with the“Chinese nation”and the exclusivity of the“other nations”.The“Inner boundaries”can be defined as crossable and flexible boundaries between different ethnic groups inside China,which,through orderly flow,crossing,and dissolution of boundaries,ultimately generate stable ethnic boundaries of a community for the Chinese nation.This paper,moreover,discusses separately the characteristics and interaction strategies of the inner and outer boundaries in order to explore a stable mechanism of the construction of a community for the Chinese nation.The study found that there is no permanent boundary between ethnic groups and that,in fact,ethnic boundaries are fluid.In addition,taking ethnic boundaries seriously is considered to be more conducive to the construction of a community for the Chinese nation.Among other things,the stabilization of the outer borders of a community for the Chinese nation appears to require the rational use of factors such as the institutional environment,power distribution,and political networks,with a view to preserving the quadruple presence of“system,organization,culture,and history”at the outer borders of a community for the Chinese nation.The strategic interaction at the external border has prov
