摘 要:五四新文化运动时期,胡适以一首译得并不成功的译诗成功地掀起了“诗须废律”的“诗体大解放”,颠覆了中国传统诗学,新诗得以攻破旧文学的堡垒,自由体新诗滥觞于此,其影响至今。吴宓力推“昌明国粹,融入新知”,坚持用文言古体译诗,竭力固守传统诗学,中国古典诗歌的传统虽没有得到完全的巩固,但于今依然有着积极的意义。外国诗歌翻译中对中国传统诗学的颠覆与固守在其二人的诗歌翻译理念与实践中表现得淋漓尽致。During the New Culture Movement of the May 4th Period,Hu Shih,by means of an unsuccessful translation of a poem,successfully set off the“great liberation of the poetry style”of“the abolition of the poetry”and overthrew the traditional Chinese poetics.Thus,the new poetry was able to break into the fortress of the old literature.The Chinese free verse originated from the translation poem and has had a great influence since then.Wu Mi put forward“thriving of the quintessence of the Chinese culture and absorbing the new knowledge from other cultures”,insisted on translating poems in ancient Chinese poetry and tried to adhere to the traditional Chinese poetics.Although the tradition of Chinese classical poetry has not been completely consolidated,it still has positive significance today.The subversion and persistence of traditional Chinese poetics in the translation of foreign poetry is reflected in the translation ideas and practice of Hu Shih and Wu Mi.
