中国神话在《月夜仙踪》中的“译述”研究

摘　　要：神话是颇具民族属性的文化内容,由于东西方神话体系认知差异,其对外译介并非易事。部分华裔文学作品通过“译述”的方式将神话这类具有较大文化信息差的文化内容推广到西方世界,并颇受认可。此类华裔文学作品与其他外译中国文学作品同属中国文化走出去的一部分。本文首先明确了此类文学作品的创作是“译述”概念的扩大化应用。然后以《月夜仙踪》为具体研究对象,从文化内容、语言、副文本三个方面分析了该小说对中国神话故事的“译述”:即通过整合“源文本”资源,增添故事细节、建立凝念聚合文化意义的形象、采用“中国英语”融入语言表达、充分发挥副文本“信息弹性”功能等方式,实现中国神话的跨文化再生。希望本研究能为拓宽我国本土儿童文学的译介出海思路提供有益参考。Mythology is of great value in national culture.It is not easy to translate mythology abroad due to the different perceptions between the eastern and western mythological systems.Nonetheless,some Chinese literary works,by adopting“narrated translation”,have managed to promote Chinese mythology to western world despite the large cultural gap and have gained considerable recognition.Such works,along with other translated Chinese literature,are part of the“going-out”of Chinese culture.This paper first identifies the creation of such literary works as an expanded application of“narrated translation”.Then,taking Where the Mountain Meets the Moon as a study case,the paper concludes how Chinese mythology is translated and narrated in the novel's cultural content,language and paratext.Chinese mythology is reborn in another culture by integrating the resources of the“source text”,adding details to the original story,building up images of rich cultural meaning,adopting“Chinese English”in the language expression,and giving full play to the“information flexibility”function of the paratext.In the end,this study is expected to provide useful reference for broadening the ideas of translation and international communication of China's local children literature.
