摘 要:认知衰退对于老年人的身心健康会产生重要影响。外语学习作为非药物干预手段,可能对延缓老年人的认知衰退起到预防作用。本研究较为全面、系统地回顾了双语优劣之争、双语优势的物质基础、双语/多语优势假说。总结了外语培训对于维持和促进老年人认知能力的最新前瞻性研究进展。并提出了开展更多纵向培训、开发适合老年人外语培训策略等建议。Cognitive decline has an important impact on the physical and mental health of senior citizens.Foreign language learning,as a non-pharmacological intervention,may play a preventive role in delaying cognitive decline of senior citizens.This study comprehensively and systematically reviews the controversy on the advantages and disadvantages of bilingualism,the material basis of bilingual advantages,and the hypotheses for bilingual/multilingual advantages.The latest prospective research progress of foreign language training on maintaining and promoting cognitive ability of the elderly is summarized.It also puts forward suggestions for carrying out more longitudinal training and developing appropriate foreign language training strategies specifically for the elderly.
