斯诺对《七律·长征》早期传播的贡献考述  

On Edgar Snow’s Contribution to the Domestic and Overseas Dissemination of Mao Tse-tung’s Poem The Long March

摘　　要：1936年夏,埃德加·斯诺前往陕甘苏区进行采访,多次跟毛泽东进行交流,并获赠其手书的《七律·长征》。返回北平后,他不仅在燕京大学进步学生当中展示毛泽东的《七律·长征》手迹,推动该诗在中国国内的传播,还在所著《西行漫记》中收录《七律·长征》的第一个英文意译版本,首次将毛泽东诗词传入英语世界。受其影响,艾格尼丝·史沫特莱亦注意到毛泽东的诗才与诗作。In the summer of 1936,Edgar Snow ventured to the Shaanxi-Gansu Soviet District controlled by the Communist Party of China,made several interviews with Mao Tse-tung,and got the poem The Long March written by Mao Tse-tung himself.When back in Peking,Edgar Snow exhibited Mao Tse-tung’s handwriting The Long March among some progressive students of Yenching University,which promoted the dissemination of this poem in China.Besides,he provided a free English translation of this poem in his wide-spread Red Star Over China,which brought Mao Tse-tung’s poems before Western readers for the first time.Influenced by Edgar Snow,Agnes Smedley also noticed Mao Tse-tung’s poetic genius and poetic works in her reportage Battle Hymn of China.
