A Study on the Content Validity of English Listening Tests of College Entrance Examination Under the Background of“Three New Reforms”-Taking the English National Tests from 2020 to 2023 as an Example

摘  要:基于Bachman和Palmer的测试任务特征框架和《课程标准》对听力的要求,从语篇输入、预期回答、输入与预期回答的关系等3个维度,统计分析2020—2023年8套高考英语全国卷听力测试的内容效度。结果表明:2020—2023年高考英语听力测试在语篇输入、预期回答、输入与预期回答的关系等方面的考查均相对稳定;2023年两套试题的中长对话和长对话数量有所增加,听力语篇的易读度指数有所降低;2022年和2023年的新高考卷减少了事实细节题,增加了推理判断题,同时适当减少了狭窄型和直接型试题。以上变化整体反映了新课程、新教材、新高考背景下高考英语听力测试落实学科素养和关键能力考查的改革趋势。为进一步优化课堂教学,提升教学效率,中学英语教学可尝试从增加听力语篇的长度和难度、拓展主题语境的广度和深度、巧设听力试题提问等方面着手,强化听力技能训练,夯实听力素养基础,提升学生的英语综合运用能力。Based on Bachman and Palmer's framework of language task characteristics and the listening requirements of curriculum standards,the content validity of eight national English listening tests for college entrance examination from 2020 to 2023 is statistically analyzed from three dimensions:text input,expected response,and the relationship between input and expected response.The results show that from 2020 to 2023,the listening tests are relatively stable in terms of text input,expected response,and the relationship between input and expected response.In 2023,the number of medium long dialogues and long dialogues increased,and the Flesch index of listening texts decreased.The tests for new college reform in 2022 and in 2023 have been the number of factual detail questions reduced,that of making reasoning judgment questions increased,with the number of narrow and direct questions reduced.The above changes reflect the reform trend of implementing the assessment of core literacy and key competencies in listening tests in college entrance examination under the background of the new curricula,new textbooks and new college entrance examination.In order to further optimize classroom teaching and improve teaching efficiency,English teachers in middle schools can try to increase the length and difficulty of listening texts,expand the breadth and depth of the subject context,and cleverly raise listening questions to strengthen listening skills training,consolidate the foundation of listening literacy,and improve students'comprehensive English application ability.
