摘　　要：The cover image is an article published in Military Medical Research(MMR 2023 Volume 10 Issue 4)by Prof.Yong-Ming Yao(the Chinese PLA General Hospital,China)and his colleagues.This study employed cross-species,single-cell RNA sequencing analysis to identify unique feature and immunosuppressive function of a conserved monocyte subtype,which providing a novel yet potent indicator for the monitoring and treatment of immune dysregulation in sepsis.
