机器翻译对英语长难句的处理效果探究

摘　　要：随着机器翻译的普及应用,机器翻译的应用领域也越来越广泛,且效果良好,机器对普通文本的翻译已经达到了相当高的准确度和匹配程度。但是当将机器翻译应用到复杂文本时,可以发现,对英语长难句的翻译,机器翻译的效果还不尽人意,甚至出现严重错误。为了研究机器翻译对英文长句的处理情况,文章将探究机器翻译对不同类型长句的处理效果,从句法层面分析机器译文的7种错误类型,并从错误比较严重的现象中探究其可能的原因,为提升机器翻译质量提供参考。With the widespread adoption of machine translation,its application has become increasingly extensive and has yielded promising results.Machines have achieved a commendable level of accuracy and alignment in translating ordinary texts.However,when it comes to the more complex translation,particularly in tackling complex and long English sentences,machine translation stil falls short,occasionally resulting in significant errors.This paper aims to investigate how machine translation handles different types of long and com-plex sentences in English.By conducting an analysis at the syntactic level,seven types of errors in machine-generated translations will be examined.Furthermore,by exploring the potential causes behind the occurrence of more severe errors,this study provides valuable in-sights to enhance the quality of machine translation.
