印度英语词汇变异的认知社会语言学探究

摘  要:认知社会语言学把认知模型对意义的研究和基于用法的语言模型研究相结合,为语言变体研究提供了新的视角与方法。同一语言由于交际情境的差异以及使用群体的差异,不仅会表现出不同的语言形态,而且会出现语言变异。在认知社会语言学视角下,以印度英语为例,分析了诸多社会和认知因素对词汇变异的影响。研究显示,词汇会因认知体验和社会环境等多种因素产生变异。从认知社会语言学视角对词汇变异进行研究,有助于更加明确地解释词汇变异的过程和根源。Cognitive sociolinguistics combines the study of meaning through cognitive models with the study of usage-based language models,providing new space and methods for the study of language variants.The same lan-guage may exhibit different forms and language variations due to differences in contexts and user groups.On the basis of Indian English,this article has analyzed various social and cognitive factors in vocabulary variation from the perspective of cognitive sociolinguistics.Research shows that vocabulary undergoes variation due to multiple factors such as cognitive experience and social environment.It is effective to study vocabulary variation from the perspective of cognitive sociolinguistics,which can provide clearer explanations for the process and root causes of vocabulary variation.
