接受美学视域下《极花》英译本的方言研究

摘　　要：贾平凹的长篇小说《极花》极具乡土文学色彩,其内容多以方言对话形式呈现。译者韩斌(Nicky Harman)是英国翻译家、汉学家,其英译本Broken Wings语言精炼、富有农村生活气息,并多运用归化的翻译策略,最大程度地重现了原文的内容和风格。该文从接受美学角度,以《极花》中地方特色浓郁的方言土语为研究对象,将其分为人名与称呼语、詈骂语和俗语3个方面,着重关注“期待视野”在翻译中的应用,对韩斌英译本的方言翻译策略进行梳理分析。研究发现,英译本Broken Wings大多运用异化的翻译策略,同时韩斌考虑到读者的接受情况,又采取音译、补充解释法等归化策略来灵活补救,让西方读者感受了中国乡土文学的别样体验。Broken Wings is a novel written by Jia Pingwa.It is full of the characteristics of local literature and its contents are mostly presented in the form of dialect dialogues.The translator of the novel,Han Bin(Nicky Harman),is a British translator and Sinologist.The language of Broken Wings is concise and full of rural life atmosphere,and Nicky Harman often adopt the domestication translation strategy to reproduce the content and style of the original text to the greatest extent.From the perspective of reception aesthetics,this paper takes the dialects with strong local characteristics as the research object,classifying them into three aspects,such as names and address words,swear words and idiom expressions,focusing on the application of"Horizon of Expectation"in translation,and analyzing the dialect translation strategy of Nicky Harman's translation.The study found that Broken Wings mostly uses the translation strategy of foreignization.At the same time,Nicky Harman takes into account the reader's acceptance and adopts naturalization strategies such as transliteration and supplementary interpretation methods to flexibly remedy the situation,allowing Western readers to experience a different kind of Chinese vernacular literature.
