散文英译的“求真”与“求美”——2022年全国高校英语专业八级考试翻译试题评析

摘　　要：2022年全国英语专业八级考试的翻译部分通过散文英译综合考查了考生多层面的翻译能力。基于此,本文首先探讨了本次翻译试题的主要特征,并基于部分考生作答,从散文英译“求真”与“求美”的角度分析了考生的作答情况。结果显示,本次翻译测试的考查构念鲜明,翻译内容层次丰富,有效落实了该考试考纲的基本要求。本文最后对翻译测试和教学提出了一些思考。The translation section of TEM8 in 2022 comprehensively assesses candidates'translation abilities from various perspectives through the translation of prose.This paper first discusses the main characteristics of the translation test before analyzing some candidates'responses from the perspectives of“seeking truth”and“seeking beauty”in prose translation.The results show that the construct of this translation test is clear and its content rich,effectively implementing the requirements of the syllabus of TEM8.This paper finally concludes by presenting some thoughts on future translation testing and instruction.
