摘 要:1928年前后,以慈善救济和服务社会为首要目的的基督教女青年会在上海建立了以产业女工为学生主体的夜校。这些建立在国民党白色恐怖时期的夜校培养了抗战时期女工运动的领袖、积极分子以及工农兵革命文化宣传的工作者。夜校成功的重要原因是其融合了女青年会内部的进步主义力量和此时隐匿在城市中的左翼革命文化力量。由青年会劳工干事和左翼革命知识分子组成的夜校教师通过讲、唱、听、演、看等形式关注和改造女工的主体经历,激发女工的自觉乃至阶级意识。女工夜校的历史从一个侧面见证了20世纪30年代城市中文化民主统一战线的出现,也展现了此时共产党领导的左翼革命文化在城市顽强的生命力。In 1928 Young Women's Christian Association in China founded a series of evening schools for female cot-ton and tobacco workers in Shanghai industrial centers.Despite the draconian rule of the Nationalist government,the schools attracted an increasing number of worker students and became the cradle of a generation of leaders and organizers in the future labor movements during China's war against the Japanese imperialism.The reason for the flourishing of the YWCA program is the collaboration of the YWCA organizers and the underground leftwing revolutionaries,as well as their great efforts to represent workers'everyday experiences.These progressive teachers utilized great pedagogic skills in lectur-ing,singing,acting,listening,and observing to transform women workers experiences and raise their self-awareness and class-consciousness.The growth of these schools is a testimony of the rise of a united front among the cultural democratic forces against the Japanese invasion in the city in the 1930s.It also demonstrates the resilience of the left-wing revolution-ary cultural force in the city under the leadership of the Communist Party.
