文明互鉴视阈下林纾的三种身份考读

摘　　要：林纾作为清末民初的文学巨擘,集“文言文捍卫者”“传统文化殉道者”“外国小说译介者”三种身份于一体。作为文言文捍卫者,他在新文化运动中力排众议,用铮铮铁骨竭力捍卫文言文固有的地位,提倡古文与白话文并行,骈散结合、言畅意美。作为传统文化殉道者,他的好义尚侠、家风严谨、学养深厚,凝聚了五千年中华文明传统美德。作为外国小说译介者,他在国运多舛之际,通过大量翻译小说达到警醒国人、救国保种之目的。林纾作品彰显了中华文化的多元魅力,他是清末民初一位对文化界做出巨大贡献的文化狂生、译界泰斗。他既坚守传统文化的主体地位,又主动翻译西方文学作品,其文明互鉴理念对当代增强文化自信、提升文化软实力具有划时代的借鉴意义。As a famous literary giant in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,Lin Shu had three identities:“defender of classical Chinese”,“martyr of traditional culture”and“translator of foreign novels”.As a defender of classical Chinese,Lin Shu tried his best to defend the inherent status of classical Chinese in the New Culture Movement,advocating that ancient Chinese and vernacular Chinese are not mutually exclusive and can go hand in hand.As a martyr of traditional culture,he was a righteous and chivalrous man,with a rigorous family style and profound education,and embodied the traditional virtues of Chinese civilization.As a translator of foreign novels,he translated a large number of novels to achieve the purpose of alerting the Chinese people and saving the country and preserving spiritual seeds.Lin Shu s works highlighted the diverse charm of Chinese culture.He was a cultural fanatic and translator who made great contributions to the cultural circle.He not only adhered to the dominant position of traditional culture,but also took the initiative to translate Western literary works.His concept of mutual learning between civilizations has epoch-making significance for contemporary enhancement of cultural self-confidence and cultural soft power.
