摘 要:作为高等教育标杆和引领者的世界一流大学是否开展继续教育?如何定位继续教育?其使命和发展理念又是什么?围绕这些问题,本文根据2019一2020世界大综合排名相关数据,选取了美国、英国、瑞士、新加坡、日本、澳大利亚、中国等国家和地区的10所世界一流大学作为研究对象,对这些高校继续教育的承担机构、办学使命、发展内涵等进行比较研究,进而思考新时代中国高校在建设世界一流的征程中,继续教育扮演什么样的角色、发挥什么作用、在大学治理体系中应当如何定位、如何更好的满足新时代建设学习强国、教育强国和完善现代终身教育体系的需求。As the benchmark and leader of higher education,do world-class universities also provide continuing education to the public?How do they position continuing education?What is the mission and development philosophy of continuing education?With these questions,this paper selects 10 world-class universities from countries/regions including United States,the United Kingdom,Switzerland,Singapore,Japan,Australia,China as research samples according to the relevant data of the 2019-2020 world university rankings,and studies comparatively on the undertaking institutions,missions and development connotation respectively,then reflects on what role continuing education should play,how to position continuing education in the university governance system,and how to better meet the needs of building a learning society and that of improving the modern lifelong education system in the new era.
