跨文化视角下中国传统服饰英译策略和方法探析

摘　　要：传统服饰是中国传统文化的重要组成部分,承载着中华民族的伦理观念和审美传统。作为跨文化活动,英译中国传统服饰是促进中西文化交流、推动中国传统文化走出去的重要方式。中国传统服饰的英译受到思维模式、社会文化背景、社会心理、地理历史传统等多种因素的影响。译者可以采用意译、增译、减译、借译、音译、图文结合等翻译策略和方法,进行跨文化协商,以忠实可读的形式呈现中国传统服饰及其文化内涵。As an integral part of traditional Chinese culture,traditional Chinese clothing embodies the ethical concepts and aesthetic tradition of the Chinese nation.And therefore,as a form of cross-cultural activity,the English translation of traditional Chinese clothing is an essential way to facilitate cultural exchange between the East and the West and promote the transmission of traditional Chinese culture.The English translation of traditional Chinese clothing is influenced by factors like mindset,sociocultural background,social psychology and geohistorical traditions.Translators can adopt the translation strategies and methods of free translation,addition,omission,loan translation,transliteration,and translation with illustration to conduct cross-cultural negotiation and present traditional Chinese clothing and its cultural connotations in a faithful and readable way.
