The paper is to examine the influence of the invention and use of the movable type printing on the standardization process of European national written languages during the Renaissance. After examining this process from a macro perspective through the method of literature research,it is found that the invention and use of the movable type printing is the original force that triggered this magnificent change, and the movable type printing provides the most direct material basis for the natural characteristics of the smallest segmentation of"word particles".On this basis, print capitalism, humanist printers, professional writers and proofreaders, the dialect version of the Bible, and the widely recognized grammar books have accelerated this process. The research perspective of the European language and cultural history helps spy on the subversive influence of the print media on the progress of European civilization.
