摘　　要：《北洋画报》创刊于1926年的天津,被誉为民国画报的“北方代表”,与上海《良友》画报各居南北首位。《北洋画报》的设计审美特征,不仅有形式特征的地方特点,也有地方设计人员对实用美术的理解与推动。《北洋画报》根植于天津整体文化,立足本土市场面向现代,以设计实践为探索,试图通过现代性革新将有价值的传统文化带出被批判的困境。不仅为民国画报的发展补充了北方视角,同时也是天津平面设计发展传统至现代过渡的重要环节。The Pei Yang Pictorial News was founded in Tianjin in 1926.It is known as the"Northern Representative"of the Republic of China Pictorial,ranking first in the north and the south respectively with Shanghai's The Young Companion Pictorial.The design aesthetic characteristics of The Pei Yang Pictorial News include not only the local characteristics of formal features,but also the understanding and promotion of graphic design by local designers.The Pei Yang Pictorial News is rooted in the culture of Tianjin,based on the local market and oriented to modern times,using design practice as an exploration,trying to bring valuable traditional culture out of the predicament of criticism through modern innovation.It not only supplemented the northern perspective for the development of the Republic of China Pictorial,but was also an important link in the transition from traditional to modern graphic designdevelopmentin Tianjin.
