金融科技对城市碳排放的影响——兼论政府行为的作用

摘　　要：金融科技的迅猛发展为我国在“双碳”目标下降低城市碳排放提供了新的思路。基于2011—2020年中国255个城市的面板数据,实证检验了金融科技对城市碳排放的影响,并进一步探讨了政府行为带来的异质性影响。结果表明,金融科技显著降低了城市碳排放;金融科技发展的结构效应(金融结构优化、产业结构升级和消费结构升级)对城市碳排放产生了降低作用;在政府对消费结构升级注意力更高、产业结构升级注意力更低以及财政压力更低的城市,金融科技降低城市碳排放的作用更强烈。研究为金融科技赋能实体经济、有效降低城市碳排放提供了重要的实证依据和政策参考。The rapid development of financial technology provides a new way to reduce urban carbon emissions in China under the background of"Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality".Based on the panel data of 255 cities in China from 2011 to 2020,this paper empirically tests the impact of fintech on urban carbon emissions,and further discusses the heterogeneous impact of government behavior.The findings show that fintech significantly reduces urban carbon emissions,and that fintech can bring about the structural effects(financial structure optimization,industrial structure upgrading and consumption structure upgrading)that help reduce urban carbon emissions.In cities where the government pays more attention to consumption structure upgrading and less attention to industrial structure upgrading,and where financial pressure is lower,fintech has a stronger impact on reducing urban carbon emissions.These conclusions provide important empirical evidence and policy reference for fintech to enable the development of real economy and effectively reduce urban carbon emissions.
