中国形象在华裔文学作品中异域构建的两面性

摘　　要：华裔文学作品在美国文化中是一个特殊的存在,内容涉及独特的中国元素和文化,因而成为西方社会了解中国的重要窗口。然而,形象学视域下美国华裔文学作品里的中国形象虚实相生,通过研究美国华裔文学作品中中国形象的实与虚,发现其与实际的中国形象并不相符;另一方面,通过对中国形象幕后的重要推手即华裔作家进行分析可知,华裔文学所构建的中国形象受到西方现代性精神和霸权文化的影响,华裔群体在美国社会中无法做到对于自身的确认。中国意欲突破西方社会所设立的现代性社会框架,首先要坚持自身特色,其次要通过不同视角去了解自己,获得更加立体的自身形象,最后要不断地进行自我改造,从而屹立于世界民族之林。Literary works by writers of Chinese origin are a special existence in American culture,its contents involving unique Chinese elements and culture,and,as a result,becoming an important window on China for the Western society.However,in imagology,Chinese images in the literary works of Chinese Americans are both literal and virtual.By looking at the reality and virtuality of the Chinese images in the literary works of Chinese Americans,it can be found that they do not correspond to the actual Chinese images.On the other hand,it can also be known that,by an analysis of writers of Chinese origin,important pushers behind the curtain of the Chinese images,Chinese images as constructed by literature of Chinese origin are influenced by modern Western spirit and hegemonic culture,and,as a result,groups of Chinese origin in American society cannot achieve an affirmation of themselves.If China wants to break through the modern societal frame,set up by the Western society,it must insist on its own features,understand itself through various angles,in order to gain a more threedimensional self-image,and continuously reform itself,thus achieving a firm foothold amidst a forest of nations in the world.
