图像小说《平如美棠:我俩的故事》英译本图文关系再现与重构研究

摘　　要：如何通过多模态路径对外讲述中国故事、提升传播效果是视觉文化时代的新课题。从关联理论视角分析译者韩斌对中国图像小说《平如美棠:我俩的故事》图文关系的英译策略,发现译者总体再现了原文主要图文关系,包括重述、互补和增补关系,对部分复合型图文关系予以重构,译文语义表征总体呈现明晰化倾向。这一特征启发我们,对于以文字叙事为主、同时以丰富的插画和文字互动叙事的这一类图像小说,英译时应尽力实现图文关系再现的整体性、有效性和经济性,努力呈现译文与原文之间最佳阐释相似性。In the age of visual culture,it is crucial for researchers to delve into multimodal narratives to enhance the understanding of Chinese culture on a global scale.This paper examines the translation strategies employed by Nicky Harman in the graphic novel Our Story:A Memoir of Love and Life in China,specifically focusing on the image-text relations through the lens of relevance theory.The analysis reveals that the translator successfully maintains the key image-text relationships,such as redundant,complementary,and supplementary relations,while reconstructing inore intricate ones.Semantic representation in the translation is clarified in general.It is suggested that,when translating a graphic novel in which images supplement words,the translator reproduces the image-text relations integrally,effectively and economically to achieve the interpretive similarities.
