文学外译活动中的主客观制约因素研究——以英译《红楼梦》杨、霍译本为例  

A Study on Subjective and Objective Restraining Factors in Literary Translation:Taking the English Translation of Yang Hsien-yi’s A Dream of Red Mansions and David Hawkes’The Story of the Stone as Examples

摘　　要：杨宪益、戴乃迭和霍克斯、闵福德的《红楼梦》英译本一直以来都是文学外译研究的热点。但大部分研究仅关注两译本各层面细节化的对比分析,而缺乏系统性的文本差异探源。从出版和编审与译者翻译理念和对待原著态度的角度出发,进行比较研究,得出文学外译应以我为主,发挥中国译者、专家的文化语境优势,严格审校。同时吸收借鉴外国知名出版机构和专业译者的出版、翻译经验,广泛开展国际合作,推动中国文学高质、高效传播。From the perspectives of publishing,editing,translator’s translation concept and attitude towards the original work,a comparative study is conducted between the English translations of A Dream of Red Mansions(by Yang Hsien-yi&Gladys Yang)and The Story of the Stone(by David Hawkes&John Minford).It is concluded that literary translation should be conducted by Chinese side,giving full play to the advantages of Chinese cultural context of Chinese translators and experts,reviewing translation strictly.At the same time,we will learn the experience of foreign mainstream publishing institutions and professional translators,extensively engage in international cooperation,and promote the high-quality and efficient dissemination of Chinese literature.
