摘  要:近年来,清华、复旦、浙大等知名高校正合力推动大学写作成为通识教育核心内容。为了更好地了解美国高校如何上好写作课,以耶鲁大学为例,通过对耶鲁大学(Yale University)写作中心的组织架构、通识教育写作课程设置、学生批判性思维培养,以及亚洲学生面临的主要写作问题这四个方面的介绍,分析美国高校如何通过写作课培养学生的批判性思维、沟通能力和长期学习能力,展望美国高校写作教育和实践可能为我国写作课通识化建设提供有益的经验和启示。In recent years,well-known universities such as Tsinghua University,Fudan University,and Zhejiang University have been working together to promote university writing as a core component of general education.In order to better understand how American universities offer good writing courses,this article takes Yale University as an example and analyzes how American universities cultivate students’critical thinking,communication skills,and long-term learning abilities through writing courses by introducing the organizational structure of the Yale Writing Center,the general education writing curriculum,the cultivation of students’critical thinking,and the main writing problems faced by Asian students.The prospect of writing education and practice in American universities may provide useful experience and inspiration for the general construction of writing courses in China.
