摘 要:作为向国际社会传播中国声音的先驱者之一,熊式一将其异语创作The Bridge of Heaven自译为《天桥》,同时赋予其文化回译与自译的双重属性,这种复杂性与兼容性让《天桥》自译本具有了较高的研究价值,值得译学界重视。文章从文化回译的视角切入,基于文化回译与自译的概念重叠关系,以熊式一的《天桥》自译本为个案,通过文本比读,聚焦文本内的文化元素、叙事文体、叙事视角及叙事情节等维度,探析熊式一自译《天桥》时“还原为主,建构为辅”的译者主体性痕迹,希望为海外离散作家群体的自译研究提供一定参考。As one of the early pioneers in telling China stories to the international community,Hsiung Shih-I self-translated his non-native language(English)writing The Bridge of Heaven into Chinese version which features both cultural back-translation and self-translation,and deserves more scholarly attention from the field of translation studies.Based on the overlapping relationship between cultural back-translation and self-translation,this paper takes Hsiung Shih-I’s self-translation of The Bridge of Heaven as a typical case and analyses such factors as the cultural elements,narrative style,narrative perspective,narrative plot through textual comparison.It explores the traces of the translator’s subjectivity of“restoration as the main strategy and reconstruction as the supplement”in the self-translating process,in the hope of providing references for future studies on the selftranslation practice of overseas diasporic Chinese writers.
